Part-time GP Surgery Medical Receptionist

In an established, family oriented surgery, with a welcoming, friendly and supportive staff team. We are a growing practice of over 14,000 patients, set in the lovely location of central Wimbledon.

The role of the medical receptionist is held in high regard within the surgery and is a key part of the practice team. We are looking to recruit 1 person for between 16-20 hours per week, spread over 3-4 shifts, a mixture of morning shifts starting at 8am and afternoon shifts starting between 12-2pm and finishing around 6.30pm. There is also overtime available during periods of annual leave and to cover staff sickness.

The post holder will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail is crucial along with plenty of enthusiasm.  The successful candidates will be confident and professional, be able to interact positively with our patients to provide a consistently high level of patient satisfaction.  Applicants must be punctual, reliable, flexible, confident with using computers and emails and be able to multi-task.

Part - time GP Surgery Medical Administrator/Correspondence Processor

In an established, family oriented surgery, with a welcoming, friendly and supportive staff team. We are a growing practice of over 14,000 patients, set in the lovely location of central Wimbledon.

The role of the Correspondence Processor is held in high regard within the surgery and is a key part of the practice team.  We are looking to recruit for 1 person for between 12-18 hours per week, spread over 2-3 shifts, staff times are flexible between 8am-9.30am.  This is a job share role, with an expectation of covering each other’s planned annual leave and supporting if possible when there maybe sickness cover required. 

The post holders will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail is crucial as a major part of the role is ensuring correspondence is given to t he correct GP with diagnoses coded into the clinical system wherever possible. The successful candidates will be confident, enthusiastic and professional.  

Applicants must be confident in communicating with colleagues, reliable, flexible, confident with IT and using computer programs and able to work to deadlines. 

Experience working within a GP setting is preferable but not essential, we use EMIS and Docman to manage our medical records and document management, use of those systems would also be preferable, but not essential.
