Due to coronavirus we are having to reconsider how we work to keep all patients and staff safe, this is changing daily at the moment, so please bear with us. We have moved to a ‘telephone first’ modal, which means all appointments will be via telephone consultation. If the GP or Nurse feels they need to see you, they will then arrange a video consultation or a face to face appointment.
Please do not come down to the surgery to obtain an appointment or pick up anything that can be dealt with electronically. The surgery will not be booking face to face on the day appointments so please do not queue outside of the door before 8am as we will not be able to give you an appointment, you will need to call.
As online booking has had to be temporarily disabled, our phone lines will be busier than usual. Please consider this before calling as the phones are busier than ever before. Please use the facilities on the website to request prescriptions, test results and ask questions of the team for example.
Current guidance states, if you have symptoms of coronavirus infection ( a fever exceeding 37.8 (or anyone who feels they have a fever) or has developed a new, continuous cough), however mild, stay at home and DO NOT LEAVE YOUR HOUSE for 7 days from when your symptoms started.
If you live with others and you are the first in the household to have symptoms of coronavirus, then you must stay at home for 7 days, but all other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill.
You do not need to ring a GP or NHS 111 for a sickness certificate, you can self-certify for the 14 day period.
