Our 2026/27 flu and COVID vaccination programme has started!
We would like to share some important information about eligibility, clinic dates and how to book.
COVID Vaccinations
Eligible patients will be offered a COVID vaccination alongside their flu vaccination where appropriate.
Flu and COVID Vaccination Clinics
Flu vaccinations for patients aged 65 and over and those in eligible clinical risk groups will begin from 1 October 2026.
We will be offering:
- Flu Day – Saturday 3 October 2026 from 9:00am
- Eligible patients can receive both their flu and COVID vaccinations at the same appointment.
- Additional clinics throughout October and the winter period
- Appointments will be available through our nursing team clinics.
Patients have been invited to book their appointment using a self-booking link. If you are unable to book online, our reception team will be happy to assist you by telephone or in person.
Children’s Flu Vaccinations
Children became eligible for flu vaccination from in September and eligable patients have been sent a self book link.
- School-aged children will normally be vaccinated through the school immunisation programme.
- If a school-aged child misses their vaccination at school, parents should contact the school nursing team regarding local catch-up clinics.
- Pre-school children who are eligible can be vaccinated at the practice.
Pregnant Patients
Pregnant women became eligible for a flu vaccination from September and eligable patients have been sent a self book link.
You can:
- Attend our Flu Day on 3 October 2026, or
- Book a vaccination appointment with our nursing team from September onwards.
- Book a flu or flu and COVID vaccination in any of the allocated nursing clinic throughout October.
Housebound Patients
Arrangements for vaccinating housebound patients are currently being finalised.
If you are registered as housebound, please do not contact the practice to arrange a vaccination at this stage. We will contact eligible housebound patients directly once plans have been confirmed.
Where possible, patients who are able to attend the surgery with support from a family member, friend or carer are encouraged to do so.
Invitations and Reminders
Where possible, eligible patients have been invited using a self-booking text message.
During the vaccination campaign, you may receive more than one invitation or reminder. This is normal and helps us ensure that all eligible patients have the opportunity to book their vaccination.
Our administartion team will be making calls to patient who have not yett booked their appointments. To save administative time, if you know that you do not want your Flu or COVID vaccination this year please use the link below to contact us and let us know. Alternativly, you can contact our reception team to informa them.
